Urban Agriculture
The structural system allows for a duality of purpose. It integrates the structure and skin while users are able to realize their potential through harvesting their own crops and then selling them at future public markets. The flexible design of the grid structure makes this possible by allowing either planting during the summer months and a surface for other activites throughout the winter.
My name is Chris White. I am an Architecture & Design graduate from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts.
I am interested in the symbiotic relationship between material, function and aesthetics. My main fields of activity are Architecture, Photography and Graphic Design.
I was raised in Maine (Falmouth, near Portland) my entire life. As a child of an Interior Designer Mother and a Civil Engineer Father I grew up fascinated with the built environment. I am interested in designing new ways of making spaces more interesting while being functional and fun to look at. Although the main vessel of conveying my ideas is through the computer, I also like using unconventional materials to create art by hand. I am currently living in Boston, MA.
