Site Plan | Urban Context
The area of study in Berlin currently lacks area for community facilities with green character. The proposed site is located a block away from the Spree’s waterfront, fully accessible via public transportation. The closest U-Bahn station is U-Bhf. Märkisches Museum, located just west of the site. The area is representative of the many under used lots that litter the neighborhood. Situated at the convergence of Inselstraße and Rungestraße, the potential for a high volume outdoor public gathering space and a museum combined with a auditorium exists.
